Expect
Different.

This is no ordinary graduate scheme. It’s challenging, it’s varied, and it’s relentlessly fast-paced. It’s an exciting and evolving business environment for people who want a career defined by doing something different. At Volkswagen Group, thinking differently is the key to success, not a passion for cars. The possibilities are endless, so no two graduates will have the same experience. Don’t expect petrol heads (although we do have some) and don’t expect limits. Expect challenge, expect opportunity – expect different.

About Us Roll over our images to find out more.

Volkswagen

Whatever is important to you – great brands, a global career, limitless possibilities – you’ll find it here at Volkswagen. We’re known for the most iconic vehicles on the road, but it’s our people who make us one of the most successful automotive manufacturers in the world. We’re always evolving, we’re not afraid to innovate and we constantly push for better performance – it’s the reason why one in five cars sold in the UK last year was a VW brand. But, it doesn’t stop there. Our ambition for 2018 is to sell 10 million vehicles. We’re passionate about our work, so we expect a lot from each other – and our ambitions are as different as our brands. Volkswagen is a different kind of employer. Join us and discover why.

Audi

Audi is ranked by Forbes as one of the ‘world’s most valuable brands’. Our reputation is built on combining beautiful design with technological excellence, and we’re dedicated to leading the premium car market, in everything from sales and planning to events and communications. But we never get complacent. Great products are the result of great people, and we’re committed to working with top talent – forward-thinking teams who keep us at the cutting edge.

ŠKODA

120 years of getting people from A to B, 50 industry awards, top ten rankings for customer satisfaction – the numbers speak volumes about our brand. But it’s great design, quality performance and brilliant people that keep us on top of our game. Dedicated to happy drivers, we listen to what our customers want, we innovate, and we keep on getting better. To us, that’s being ‘simply clever’. Outstanding talent like you will help us keep it that way.

SEAT

At SEAT, we share the same spirit – we call it SEATTIUDE. It’s about being different, always pushing to be better and improving on what we did yesterday. We’re a sporty and dynamic brand on the rise in the UK and our teams are motivated by winning new customers – and keeping them. Their energy and enthusiasm keeps things moving forward. Have you got it?

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles

Our business customers are impressed by our unwavering focus on quality, reliability and environmental awareness. For over 60 years, we’ve become the wheels that keep organisations across the UK moving, creating partnerships that last by providing vehicles that perform. It’s our mix of attitude, ambition and entrepreneurial spirit that makes us different, and builds our leading reputation. This is an exciting and evolving part of the business.

Group business areas

This part of the business gives you an in-depth understanding of the bigger picture at Volkswagen Group. What makes us different is having five unique brands under one roof – our Group business areas give you exposure to all them. You learn what goes on behind these scenes, how the brands work together and how teams cross over on specific projects. Whatever specialist area you’re in – from Customer Quality to Group Commercial Services – you’ll work in partnerships with our brands to achieve key business objectives. If you want to eventually specialise at VWG, this is the perfect place to start.

Your development

The best way to learn is by doing. At Volkswagen Group, most of your learning is done on-the-job, alongside structured, formal training. From the beginning of the programme you’ll have exposure to senior management, so you’ll be able to influence key business decisions and learn from the top. You’ll also be assigned a mentor – who can share crucial insights – and you’ll have regular meetings with your manager, whether over a coffee or something a bit more formal. These meetings are opportunities for you to map your progress and work on your personal and professional development plan.

As well as one-to-one meetings and reflection sections, you’ll be encouraged to shadow other departments or spend time out on the road to accelerate your development. Your ongoing learning gives us a competitive advantage, so if you want to explore new projects or take on new challenges, the answer is ‘yes’. We’ll teach you useful business skills throughout the programme, including how to create a personal brand, how to use body language when talking to stakeholders, and how to make important financial decisions. Everything you need to become a trusted leader.

About the
programme.
Varied industry knowledge

Our structured two-year programme gives 12 exceptional graduates the chance to become future leaders of our business. It’s designed to give you exposure to a variety of roles and projects, so you’ll gain incredibly broad commercial experience. Because you’ll have the chance to cut your teeth across five unique brands early in your career, you’ll build unparalleled industry knowledge in a leading business and explore roles you may never have thought about. You’ll be given projects with business-critical impact from the start, and you’ll be encouraged to share your ideas and opinions. At Volkswagen, our employees’ voices make a difference – and graduates are no exception.

Structured but challenging

From digital marketing to planning, the placements you’ll work on are as varied as they are rigorous. At Volkswagen Group, five different brand identities make up one world-class business – and you could experience them all. Whether you’re managing Audi merchandise or driving customer loyalty at SEAT, there are always opportunities to take on extra projects or shadow colleagues in other business areas. You’ll even have the chance to compete for one of our international placements. If you’re the type of person who’s excited by a career with no limits, this programme could be perfect for you.

Beyond the programme

When you finish the programme, you’ll have an in-depth understanding of how a fast-paced, commercial business works – and how to influence it. Because each of our graduates is placed across different brands and in different functions, your skills and ambitions will be totally unique. Whatever you want to do, you’re guaranteed a permanent role when you finish the programme. With two years of commercial experience behind you, you’ll now have the opportunity to continue as a generalist or decide to specialise.

What we’re looking for

Our graduates have a lot in common: a relentless determination to succeed, drive, ambition – and an entrepreneurial edge. We look for self-starters who grab opportunities with both hands and we’re excited by graduates who want to own their development, push themselves outside of their comfort zones and take their careers in the direction they want. You’ll need a 2:1 or 1st class degree with relevant work experience, but the discipline isn’t important. Ultimately, if you have a hunger to succeed – and build an incredibly rewarding career – we’ll give you all the direction you need to get where you want to be.

What you get

You’ll start on a £30,000 salary and you’ll get a new car worth £24,000 every six months. So you could be driving home from your first day at Volkswagen in a top-of-the-range product like our VW Golf. You’ll also receive 27 days’ holiday – plus bank holidays – a bonus, an award-winning pension scheme, a healthcare plan, a flexible benefits allowance, occupational health, on-site restaurant and shopping discounts.

Thank you

Being a leading business takes a lot of hard work and determination, so we make sure we create a culture of fun for our teams to enjoy. From dress-down Fridays and cakes in the showroom, to charity events and Wimbledon-themed lunches, there’s always something going on. Events like these are a good way to take a break and get to know more people around the business.
